Ivanhoe Property

In the leafy suburb of Ivanhoe, the owners of this property wanted a pool for the whole family including their grandchildren. 

Down sizing from an acreage in Templestowe it was important to maintain a feeling of space and include a pool that was large enough for a half a dozen or so children & spa for 6 adults. Alfresco entertaining was also high on the wish list; a space comfortably fitting 8-10 people was required.

The pool has been designed with elongated steps to give the impression of a larger pool volume. The long platforms also provide a generous area for little ones who are not yet swimming to paddle and play. Adding steps and an additional swim out near the spa means that children ‘learning’ to swim can move from side to side in the pool without feeling the need to conquer the entire length of the pool

A pool of any shape or size is a tremendous asset. They can enliven areas when they are in use and add a sense of serenity when they are not, and the value they can add to a family and their lifestyle is difficult to measure.
